ABOUT THE PROJECT
Located in Sunshine Beach with views toward the ocean, this alterations and additions project reimagines an existing residence through a refined coastal architectural language.
A new battened screen wraps the existing bulky street-facing façade, softening its scale while providing privacy and creating a more considered arrival to the home. To the rear, curved forms, generous glazing and layered outdoor living spaces strengthen the connection between the interiors, pool and ocean outlook beyond.
A restrained palette of light finishes, warm timber tones and textured materials brings cohesion to the existing and new elements, creating a relaxed and contemporary coastal home.
